Position: Preschool Teacher
Location: Westover Hills Preschool
Type: Part-Time, 9am -1pm, 4-5 days per week
About Us:
At Westover Hills Preschool, we believe that young children are capable and eager learners who have a powerful and intrinsic need for meaningful activities explored through play. At WHP we support a young child’s natural curiosity and imagination by providing a child-centered curriculum and play-based environment that encourages children to share, negotiate, collaborate, and create.
Responsibilities:
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive activities.
Follow Developmentally Appropriate Practice for preschool-aged children; embracing a child-centered curriculum that is stimulating, thoughtfully conceived, and intentional; utilizing PLAY as an important vehicle for developing self-regulation and promoting language, cognition, and social competence.
Qualifications:
Experience working with preschool-aged children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for nurturing and guiding young children.
